For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. Unfortunately, leaving “the life” for a normal life proves harder than she’d expected. Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring Kat back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has a good reason: a powerful mobster has been robbed of his priceless art collection and wants to retrieve it. For Kat, there is only one solutio

Writing on Wednesday's!

Nothing for Today! I don't have any writing plans for today. I usually have something, but I've been really tired lately and today it was just super tiredness. So I just watched TV, well the first season episodes of shows I really like. I mean I feel so down it's weird. I'm so tired. I have to work tomorrow. I don't know if I'm tired from not doing anything or working. Hmmm....I guess I'll just see how it goes from now on. Got to get used to working. Too tired to keep writing. Love Britt <3

The Book List!

This Weeks Book List! I've take a rather strange interest in learning more about Dog Training, Showing, and Care. I normally do short outbursts of what I want to learn but not all the time. Sometimes I just want to learn as much as I can. So I've been doing research on Great Danes and figuring out what I want in a dog. I already have a small list forming inside my mind. Anyway, back to this weeks Book List. Here it is. 1. Shiver 2. Linger 3. Heist Society 4. Pretty Little Liars (Book 1) 5. The Lying Game 6. Relvolution I think that is all for now. I mean I have a ton of of books about Great Danes at home and I just picked up some new books at the Library. So it may take me a while to read them all. It usually does. Well that's is all for today.  Happy Reading! Love Britt <3

Monday's Nano Dare!

Yay! I'm finally all caught up with my blog. It was like two weeks worth behind in posts. I thought I'd never catch up. So I'm so glad to be back on track. It's time to stay focused and keep my blog caught up. I rather hate falling behind. No Dare as of Right Now! I'd probably have a dare if I sat down and took the time to do it. But I can't do that because I'm struggling with my Dare for this week. For this weeks Dare, I was supposed to through a famous celebrity into a scene with my characters and have them act unexpected. At first I was like this will be totally easy but then I realized I don't know which  celeb I want to use or how to make them act since you only ever see them on the big screen. So if anyone has any ideas, I'll glad take them.  Happy Daring! Love Britt <3

Fitness on Sunday's!

03/27 - This is Sunday's post. What are my Favorite Sports? I am most likely like every other girl who likes sports. I'm not into Football, Basketball, Soccer, or Hockey. I can't watch a game on TV because it is way too boring for me and I normally don't understand what is going on. I prefer to be in the action at the game. But I'm not competitive so I don't take part in any sports. I usually just like to go to the games to check out the team and to walk around the stadium while watching the game from time to time. If you don't believe me, ask my step dad. He'll vouch for me. I usually went with him so he can't exactly lie to you about what I did and didn't do at the games. I like what my friend calls the girlie sports, Baseball (not a girlie sport), softball, tennis, volleyball, and Horse Back Riding. The only two sports I take part in are Tennis and Horse Back Riding (but it's not very common). I also only think Tennis is a lot of fun if

Unknown on Saturdays!

This is Yesterday's Post. The Apollo of Dogs! One of the largest breeds in the world.   G is for the Great Dane! Never ever let your Great Dane do this. The Great Dane is no mere legend or myth.  They are said to be one of the most interesting and looked upon breeds, the Dane is sure to get your attention when walking through the park with it's owner.  Beauty, Elegance, Power, and fit for a King. The Dane is one of the most astounding breeds in the world. It originated from Germany (though the name is Danish or suggests it) even though many are unsure of how old the breed really is and most believe that it was at one time used to hunt wild boars. They needed a dog that was brave and courageous, willing to take on anything in its path. As time passed, people started to breed the Dane for companionship and that is where the breed stands today. The Great Dane is a Gentle Giant, loveable, seriously people oriented, and a great family pet. Although it is hard to believe

Friday's Short Stories!

!03/25 - This is Friday's Post. Sorry No Short Stories Today! Hey Guys, I'm sorry to bring you this news but I don't always seem to have short story ideas to write. Don't get me wrong, I love to write but I have no time to write at the moment. I'd like to start up again but I haven't done it for a while. I should see how long it's been since I looked at my book The Light Chronicle's. I still need to get my step dad to send me all my files for Forbidden Ties. I have them all on the computer at home. Plus I want them to send me my little purple binder along with all my paper because I have how my new chapters are going to go. So it'd be great to get that flying again. Wish me luck and thanks for understanding.  Happy Writing! Love Britt <3

Must Read Book of the Week!

03/24 - This is Thursday's Post. Next Book Up! Linger By: Maggie Stiefvater Their eyes, human eyes in wolf skulls, remind me of water: the clear blue water reflecting the spring sky, the brown of a brook churning with rainfall, the green of the lake in summer as the algae begins to bloom, the gray of a snow - choked river. It used to be only Sam's yellow eyes that watched me from between the rain - soaked birches, but now, I feel the weight of the entire pack's gaze. The weight of things known, things unsaid. Since I haven't read this book yet, I don't really have too much to say about it. Sam and Grace are back from Shiver and their are new life experiences waiting for them. It may not seem so easily forgotten what happened in the last book but the new one sheds new light on the life of these to tragic lovers. Their tale spins through a spider's web as we watch it unfold further. What will happen in the next book. What will entreat you to open it's c

Writing on Wednesdays!

03/24 - This is Wednesday's post. Start A Blog! If you've got lots of time on your hands or maybe only an hour a week, then a blog might be right for you.  I started my blog last year because I wanted to know what it was like to actually commit to something other than school. I was a big school fanatic. So anyway, I started blogging. At first I didn't really have any topic in mind for my blog. I just kind of winged it for a while until something seemed to fit. Finally a couple months ago, I decided I wanted to blog about writing for all the other writers who write but sometimes like to take a break and learn from other writers ideas. I try to help writers the best that I can with my blog by giving them advice. I do my best. So if you have interest in writing for other people to read or just want to desperately get your thoughts out there, then a blog might just be right for you. I would have more to say but I'm really trying to push myself to get caught up today. I

The Book List!

03/22 - Well here is Tuesday's Post. I am getting closer to almost being caught up with my blog. Yay! My Favorite Book!  Throwing Like A Girl By: Weezie Kerr Mackey I picked this book up at the Borders once and read the back. I knew right there and then that I wanted to own the book. Maybe it was because of the plot revolving around softball or maybe it was the fact that the main character was new to the area, school, and was going through some of the same things I were at the time.  So as you can see I had plenty of reason to like this book. Also the cover drew me in. I saw it and was like, I wonder what this is about. I couldn't resist. So I got my Step dad to buy it for me. I took it to the pool with me everyday and sat there and read and got a tan. The two best past times in my opinion, reading and tanning. Haha. Well anyway, the story is about being the new student in school, fitting in, making friends, and growing up. So by far this is one of my favorite books so far.

Mondy's Nano Dare!

03/21 - Hey here's Monday's Post. I didn't have time to write for this post. I feel horrible but next Monday I will have the New Nano Dare post, promise. I just wish I had ideas always flying around in my head then my life would be a lot easier for me then it is right now. But hey, when you've got to work, you've got to work. No questions asked. So yeah, I think you'll understand. I've got to make money. Happy Writing! Love Britt <3

Fitness on Sunday's!

03/20 - This is Last Sunday's post. Sorry I'm still so far behind with my posts. Hopefully I'll be able to make up for it by posting two a day until I'm all caught up. Thanks for being so patient with me. Pilates! Have you ever wanted to put a little pilates in your life? I know some may think this exercise workout is right for them while others think pilates is a waste of time. I personally think pilates is fine. All you really have to do is listen to the instructor and mimic their moments the best you can. So Pilates is a lot like Yoga? Except that you are doing moves in a much faster manner and you are normally out of breath much faster than in yoga where you hold poses a little longer. So hey, why not at least try it before you say oh, it's not right for me. It all really depends on the exercisers point of view and what they want to get out of a workout.  Happy Fitness! Love Britt <3

Unknown on Saturday's!

03/19 - This is last Saturday's post. Z is for Zoology! Zoology is basically the study of animals but it's branched in with biology with is the study of life. I enjoy biology I think it's a lot of fun. Now many of you many asking why would I bring something like this into my blog. Well one, I am fafr more interested in biology than Chemistry and two, I am trying to find a career path that is animal related. I would love to be a Vet but I can't become a full Vet. So as you can see I have some very important decisions I will have to make in the near future. Like what animal career is right for me and what do I want to get out of it? I still have to do research on this type of animal study so I'll just have to wait and see if this is the right career choice for me. Love Britt <3

Firday's Short Stories!

03/18 - This is last Friday's post. Sorry for the long wait. Welcome, I would of had a short story written if I would of had of had time to write it last week, But since I just got a new job I don't exactly have time to write as much as I would like. So I'll use last Friday's Short Story tomorrow to make up for it. I hope that's okay. Love Britt <3

Must Read Book of the Week!

03/17 - This is Last Thursday's Post. I'm  not going to do a short story for Last Friday. I didn't get a chance to finish it and I have to work on it ASAP. Shiver By: Maggie Stiefvater And the I opened my eyes and it was just Grace and me - nothing anywhere but Grace and me - she pressing her lips together as though she were keeping m kiss inside her; and me holding this moment that was as fragile as a bird in my hands.  Well I was planning on putting a picture of this book for all my fellow bloggers to see but my picture doesn't want to work right so this will have to do. This book I picked up at the Library a few weeks back because I thought it sounded interesting. So I started to read it and was like wow, this is so different from all the vampire/werewolves books I've read so far. Okay this is the first werewolf boo I have read other than the Twilight series. Edward could of been so much hotter but if I had to choose between Jacob or Edward in the movie, I wo

Writing on Wednesday's!

03/16 - This last Wednesday's post. I'm so sorry about how far back I am with my posts. It's funny how I actually seem to have time back in my day. Let's Start Practicing Today! You've heard millions of people say it. Practice makes perfect and they're right. Practice does make perfect. There isn't a better expression to explain the concept. I personally know that's it's right. If you don't practice at writing then you don't get any better at it. I've been writing consecutively for two maybe three years now and I've seen my improvement. It's almost hard not to notice. So the best way to get better at writing is trying to find something you like to write. For instance, I love writing about paranormal and supernatural beings and items. Those genres appeal to me more than the others and to me they're more interesting then plain fiction. I also think it's fun to write about ghosts. Mostly its just fun writing about things

The Book List!

Tuesday 03/15 - I'm trying to make up for lost time. Anyway here is last Tuesdays post. I hope you all enjoy. My Favorite Series So Far! The Sister's of Isis Hey everyone, I'm so glad I've got some free time right now to catch up with my posts. I feel super behind. Anyway, my favorite series so far would have to be The Sisters of Isis series. The series consists of four books; The Summoning (Book 1), Divine One (Book 2), Enchantress ( Book 3), and The Haunting (Book 4).  Personally  I love this series. I think the stories are amazing and how each book revolves around the three girls who are chosen as the Sisters of Isis. Each Sister of Isis can transform into an animal.  The girls are brought together by Abdel, a priest or protester of the Sisters of Isis. Sudi transforms into the Bennu Bird. Meri can transform into a cat and she can also understand them. Dalila at first transforms into the Ammut but she is really supposed to be a fire breathing cobra. I have alway

Monday's Nano Dare!

Monday 03/14 - I am so far behind with my blog right now that it's not even funny. I'm sorry guys for the delay. Yesterday, I wanted to post but wasn't feeling it. So here it goes. Dare: Put Lime Jell-O in a new scene of your book. Will walked into the kitchen, a scowl plastered to her face. She pulled out a medium size glass bowl from the cabinet and sat it on the counter. Willow stared at the see through glass, lost in thought. Stirring she walked over to the pantry and pulled out a small rectangular box from the very bottom shelf. She studied the box and smiled, "Ah. I found it." She pulled out a measuring cup and poured tow cups of cold water into it. She filled another measuring cup with two cups of water and poured it into the kettle waiting on the stove. Willow circled the room, following the strange patterns of the rug beneath her feet. She continuously looked over at the kettle. "When will it be ready?" Will asked agitated. The ket

Fitness on Sunday's!

My New Workout! I've been getting kind of tired of the old workout I was doing so I made some new goals for myself. First, I want to start waking up earlier everyday. I'd like to get up around maybe 6 or 7 am. It all really depends. Second, I want to start jogging in the morning. I enjoy being outside so I should try getting out of my shell for once and doing something different. And lastly, I wanted to start a new workout with my new plan. So there are my goals that I plan to enforce tomorrow.  Workout: The No-Excuses Workout I copied this so you would all know what I would being doing for exercise. This workout will of course go on top of  my runs in the morning.  Do 1 set of each exercise with barely any rest in between. Once the circuit is complete , do it two more times, giving yourself a 2 minute rest between each circuit. #117 Step - Out Lunge #118 Side - Step Squat #119 Bridge In and Outs #120 High-Knee Squats #121 Reverse Push - Ups #122 De - Stress #123 Giv

J is for Johnny Bravo! I remember the first time I watched Johnny Bravo, I was merely just a child. My dad had introduced me to the show because he had said that it was one of his favorites. A classic if you will. I immediately fell in love with the show.  Johnny Bravo is a very interesting main character. Living with his mother, hitting on women, and always managing to get beat up by earlier mentioned women. He had a knack for getting in trouble and it was funny to watch. I actually remember feeling bad for Johnny because he never got the girl but then again his methods of seduction were rather jerky. He didn't have to pretend to be all smooth to get the girl. Yet, time after time he would make a move and then pay for a few minutes later. I know a lot of you are like, wow, she's not consistent with her favorites. Well no I'm not. I love a lot of shows but I just wanted to say that a few are more of the top list quality than others. Scooby Doo is one of the top favorite

Short Stories on Friday's!

Welcome to Friday's Short Stories, Sleepless Dreams are a part of the human imagination. The Dreamer drifts off to sleep and then the fantastic liquid pools invade leaving no part untouched. What happens when dreams become your reality? What happens when your dreamless? Well then you become Sleepless.  I s tared at the tans walls wondering when I would fall into a coma again. I'd only experienced the high twice in my life. Once when I was a child and the second time I wasn't much younger than I am now. I was the new generation of the human race. Faster. Intelligent. Beautiful. I was far beyond human technology. My creators had made me Sleepless. These a coma induced states were something my creators had made and distributed to me. I'd always ask why I was being put under these drugs. The middle aged man would look at me with dancing eyes and say, "You are Sleepless. Better than the humans and the wave of the future." I would smile emotionless. I was a pup

Must Read Book of the Week!

Welcome, First off I just wanted to let everyone know that I only have nine more chapters to go in Eragon. I rather impressed with myself because I have been reading faster than usually. So I would like to get three chapters today and maybe three more tomorrow or possibly more. I don't want to rush through the book but I have to finish it before it is due back at the Library. Ranma 1/2 Manga! Writing on Wednesday's!

Break Open A Journal! Some of you may be asking yourselves, Do I really need a journal? Of course not. I just think that journals help people who like to write get their thoughts down on paper. I am a soul believer of the P&P or in other words Pen and Paper. However, keeping a journal is a very basic act and  anyone can do it.  I have had many journals in the past. I have found that in my many adventures of journals that there are many ways to keep a journal. For example, I kept one journal were I wrote about my everyday life. It was kind of like my diary. In my opinion, having a journal with my friends was a lot of fun because it brings back a whole bunch of good memories. We would use a whole bunch of wacky colored pens and markers and draw weird creations in the margins. One of us would take the notebook home and the next day, we'd bring it back and give it to the next person. The nickname's I usually used were Tink or Doodles. I guess we did it just to say we did or

The Book List!

Welcome, I think I've started to come down and accept the way things are right now. For example, I am a slow reader. It's kind of ironic actually because back in the 9th Grade I was a super fast reader but as I got older, I slowed down. My reason for reading so slow is simple. I found that zipping through books so fast made me lose focus of what the book was about and sometime I even forgot what books I had read. Goodreads! Goodreads.com is a great site. It allows you to keep track of all the books you have read and the ones you haven't. Then once you read the book, the reader, puts the book on the Read List. It's a really awesome site if your a forgetful person like me. I have a tendency to forget which books I have read. I found that the site helps me a lot. I think if you are a bibliophile, then you should join Goodreads and start keeping track of all the books you've got on that Must Read List. I'm become fairly new to the site myself and I am rather im

Monday's Nano Dare!

Characters Rebel Against Plot! Dare: We dare you to have your characters completely rebel against your plot to take the book in a new direction. Plot: This is what I believe my plot is. Willow Crosswick changed schools because she had almost hurt one of her dearest friends. Now in a brand new school, Willow (Will) must make new friends while discovering secrets of the school and herself. Willow wanted nothing more than to run away from it all. She wanted to have a normal life with normal friends.  But that never seemed to be the case. She hated everything with a real person and what she wanted to do most wasn't even allowed. She'd meant to hurt her friend. They might have been best friends but she wanted her friend to suffer the fate Willow did day in and day out. She saw normalcy as unfair and cruel. Maybe it has to have been too much but no not for her. This was the way life had to be for her. The only life she could really live.  "Karen," Will yelled, "w

Fitness Sunday!

Wii Fit! There's so much one can say about the Wii Fit. Play. Fun. Exercise. All wrapped up into one package.  The Wii was probably one of the coolest products Nintendo has ever come out with.  They have come out with an Exercise Game that is the best. It gives you a workout and let's you have fun at the same time.  The Wii Fit is a great game for the whole family. Maybe your looking to loose a few pounds or just looking to tone up, the the Wii Fit is  for you. I use love using the Wii Fit but I probably don't use it as much as I should. So if your looking for a workout that will really hit the core and do some good to the bod then I say the Wii Fit is right for you.  What do I really like about the Wii Fit? Is that I can go on a jog in a beautiful  area while really I'm jogging in place in my living room. I hate jogging down the street where my neighbor's can see me. That has always been a self-contentious thing that I never could seem to get over and now I d

K is for Kim Possible! Kim Possible is probably the best show that Disney Channel has ever churned out. When I as younger, I loved watching Kim on Saturday Cartoons. She was a role model to me. I looked up to Kim Possible. I mean what little girl wouldn't want to be just like her. She's a cheerleader, not the most popular girl in High School, has the most awesome best friend and new boyfriend, and she saves the world. Who wouldn't want to save the world?  I mean if it was possible to be like Possible then I'd totally go for it. I love Kim and I love the show. I still watch the show when it's on from time to time, just to relive the experience and it's still the best show ever.

Short Stories on Friday's!

Welcome to Friday's Short Stories, The Place I called Home Julia Meyers always thought she was normal. Well at least as normal as you could be living where she did. Julia had been omitted to the asylum at the crisp age of eight. She had tried to kill her family. The walls felt like they were caving in on me. I stared emotionless at the pure white walls of my room. The steel door was locked from the outside so there was no where to run. No way to escape. The asylum had become my permanent home eight years ago when I had tried my hand at murder. I still remember the way it made me feel.  The sixteen year old lifted herself out of the deary bed. Her bare feet touched the cold floor and scent a shiver up her spine. The white nightgown the nurses had given to her, swayed around her ankles. I walked over to the barred window and looked down at the courtyard. The outside world seemed peaceful and happy to me but I knew the truth. Nothing is ever as it really seems. If that was the cas

Eragon!

Welcome, This is Thursday's Official Post. I know my posts have been kind of crazy lately so I just wanted you all to know that this is today's post. No questions asked.  I also wanted to inform you all that this is not a review seeing how I haven't finished this book yet. Technically, I'm not even halfway through it yet. I know it's pathetic, I'm a slow reader alright. Eragon By Christopher Paolini One Boy...One Dragon...A world of adventure.  Eragon  By Christopher Paolini  When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy: perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and he is thrust into a perilous new world of destiny, magic, and power. With only an ancient sword and the advice of an old storyteller for guidance

Where do I write?

Welcome to Wednesday's Post, Where do I write? Since I started my blog to focus on aspiring authors and writers. I decided I would start answering certain questions that I think a lot of you would ask or just give you  tips on what I do as a writer to help you to become better writers. I believe in the next generations of writers because I know we can all accomplish our dreams if we set our minds to them. However, this dream is going to be a hard and treacherous journey but we are strong willed and will conquer all in our paths. Let's start today's blog post. I decided to answer the question "Where do I like to write?".  When I am really getting into an idea for a new book, I'll close and lock my door and pull out a pen and some lined paper and start jotting down my ideas. I'll let the pen take control and write whatever comes to mind. Besides writing in my room, I also enjoy sitting at my desk and typing away at my keyboard. Although I think I spend

Border's Goodbye's!

Welcome to Tuesday's Post, Sorry, yesterday was a pretty busy day and I haven't had any of my posts all made up and ready before hand so I know I seem a little disorganized.  I can't believe Borders (my favorite bookstore) is going out of business. It's just so hard to chew over. The only thing I think we can blame is the economy because I know it is hitting everyone hard. It's a disaster just waiting to unsheathe it's sword. However, I am proud to say that I got to spend a few last hours in the bookstore last Sunday, enjoying the books one last time. The only place I've ever liked shopping for books. I can't bring myself to shop elsewhere. I refuse. This store closing frenzy will not silence my need to own books or to buy them. That's what the internet is for is it not. Last Sunday, while I was out shopping at Borders I bought three new books. 1. The Book Thief 2. Howl's Moving Castle 3. Lock and Key Since Borders was going out of bu
