Sunday is for Wii!

What's Up? I had a whole Wii idea planned for Sunday, however, that seems to have changed in the past couple of minutes do to the fact that I don't have any pictures prepared for the Wii Fit. So here it goes. If you like exercise and want to feel like your at the Gym following your instructors class, then go out o Best Buy or Gamestop or maybe some other store that sells video games and buy it. I guarentte you won't be disappointed. I love the Wii Fit. I should try doing it more often but what can I say I'm sort of lazy. Love Britt <3

Short Stories on Friday's!

Welcome to Friday's Short Stories, I was supposed to post this yesterday but the internet was still acting up and I knew that by the time it started working again. I wouldn't be able to post. So I decided to wait until today to post. So here is my short story of the week. The Alley People keep telling me the world is such a safe place. But if that were really true then there wouldn't be any war, any sexual assaults, any murder, and least of all any hurt. The world is such a safe place alright.   I took a drag of my cigarette resting in my left hand. I pulled it away and blew out the smoke, trying not to make a face from the aftertaste. Someone was calling my name, so I turned to greet them. "Hey Baby," a guy swayed up to me, "Why don't I show you a good time?"  I held back the urge to laugh. I could clearly smell the beer from where I was standing. I smiled. "How much are you willing to pay?" I asked putting my

Let's Read Together!

Welcome, This is a post for Thursday. I would have been able to post if my internet wasn't acting so strange. It just didn't want to connect to the server. So here is Thursday's post. I finally finished the book I was reading. It took me a couple of days but I got through it. Now I am off to start another book.  I was reading Warriors : Into the Fire and finished it yesterday and now I've started Eragon. I actually started reading Eragon a long time ago when it first came out and I thought "Oh, this should be awesome." but the book got boring somewhere in the middle and I couldn't handle it so I decided to stop reading it altogether. So here goes my second try for this book, I hope I like it. So, that's all fro today. Now I only have ten or eleven library books to read. Well ta ta for now. Love Britt <3

F is for Favorites!

Welcome, I thought I was going to do a segment on "What is your Plot?" but then I realized something. I wasn't sure on how to go about doing that certain blog post and my hearts started to swerve to another idea that I think you all will enjoy. I decided to do a post on my Favorite Author's. I have three particularly in mind. Weezie Kerr Mackey, Gail Carson Levine, and J..K. Rowling. Why are they my favorite authors right now? I absolutely love any author who can create a world I've never been to and then piece it together to form a visual in my mind. Most authors are very good at this while others are not. These three authors are quite good at it. I love Weezie Kerr Mackey because she is a fresh off the press author.  Her first book, Throwing Like A Girl was a really amazing read. I saw it in the book store a couple of times before I bought it and what can I say, the cover had me hooked. I was sort of obsessed at the time with Baseball. As you can tell fro

I'm the Newest Volunteer!

Welcome, Today was a really great day for me. It was my first day as a Volunteer at the Library. I kind of surprised myself as I did what I had to do in order to help all the people who needed my assistance. I was surprised when I first arrived to find that the "huge" crowd my director raved about wasn't even that bad. I was expecting a huge mob. I"m just relieved it was just a few people and not a whole following or something. I was so nervous but I pushed my nerves aside and started asking people if I could help them in anyway. I did my best to answer questions to the best of my knowledge and I led people in the right direction. I'll admit I made mistakes. There were questions I couldn't answer but I directed them to the people that I knew could help them or I asked for help in order to help them.  The questions were things I should probably have of known but I did my very best. I'm so excited to go back next week. I just need to remind myself not

Monday's Nano Dare

Welcome to the Nano Young Writer's Program Dare, Dare : We Dare you to write your characters preparing to do a heist. "You can't be serious!" Casey exclaimed chewing on a strand of her hair while fidgeting with her skirt pocket. Willow turned to face her. She ran her fingers through her fiery red hair and smiled mischievously. "Of course, I'm serious, Case. Why wouldn't I be?" She looked at the frightened girls deep emerald eyes. "Willow, we'll get in do much trouble if we even try to do something like that." Casye shuffled in her seat staring at the uneaten hamburger on her plate. She was at a lost for eating anything anyway, She pushed the plate away. "So," Willow paused for dramatic effect, "Are you guys in or what?" Lucas threw back his head and laughed, "I'm in. Let's do this thing." Will smiled at him and then looked over curiously at the silver haired girl, "What about y

Health/Fitness on Sunday's

Welcome, Today I wanted to do something simple. I don't really have any certain fitness workout in mind so I thought I'd just tell you all about some of my favorite Yoga Poses. So here it goes... Downward-Facing Dog Pose: Extended Triangle Pose: Cat Pose: Plank Pose: These four poses I feel are the most commonly used in Yoga.  I don't know if they are seen as the easiest or if it is simply just a way that everyone starts out in Yoga. I just know I have been doing these moves for years now. The Plank Pose hurts when you are doing it in a set of moves. Love Britt <3

Unusual Satuday

Welcome, So I decided to give my number line a break for a while. I actually didn't want to take it to far anyway. I guess it's all how you look at it. Anyway, I feel kind of tired. I'm not sure why. I haven't been doing anything differently than I normally would on a day like today. I feel like I am however getting a little stressed about not doing all my chores right away. I just want to get them out of the way. That's all. I swear I can feel the anxiety. It's ridiculous. My friend and I went to the Visitor's Shindig at Pastor Alex's house. He runs The House at First Assembly. It was so awesome.  It's basically a group of College and Young Adults. The people there were so mature and friendly. None of that click junk that you have in High School. Oh no, these are people who know how to make you feel welcome. I enjoyed it a lot and now I'm known as Brussels Sprout. I'm pretty sure the name will stick for a while because Paste Alex "A

Welcome to Friday's Short Stories, Today isn't really a Short Story but more along the lines of an excerpt from my newest book, The Destroyer.  This is what I have so far. I hope you all like it. The Destroyer Chapter One – The Beginning     “That’s it. One more push Mrs. Lansing. You can do it. Now Push!” said the doctor as the women squeezed her husbands hand. The hand turned an off white color from the strangled pressure and he tried his best to hold back his discomfort. The babies cry erupted through the delivery room. The doctor handed the newborn over to the nurse and gave her strike instructions to make sure the baby was well taken care of in the room next door before she was to be shown to the parents. She nodded and headed in the direction of the room the doctor had pointed to.The nurse handled the infant with care, wiping her down with a towel and cleaning out her lungs with a little blue tool. She placed a small pink rectangular blanket on the counter and

Welcome to Reading on Thursday's, I know, I know. The name really sucks. I'm not very good at making up creative names for my posts.  Did you know that I almost thought I had missed a day for my blog? I was like "Oh, No. I didn't miss a day. Did I?" By the way "?" is a question mark if some of you can't tell. I don't know if you can see the weird font I am typing this in but if it just so happens that you can, then I wanted you to know. Anyway, as I was saying. Today is Reading on Thursday's.  I hope you all enjoy. I rode the bus up to the Library. I was supposed to be there around noon but I knew the lady I was supposed to be meeting with was supposed to be in a meeting until then and I was like "Well, I want to make sure she is out of the meeting before I go in".  I arrived at around 12:44 pm. When I went in and asked Doug, the guy at the desk to see Julie, he told me she was on her break. So I walked over to this one sectio

Welcome to Writing on Wednesday's, Since I am currently trying yo juggle my life with this huge decision I am making. I'd figure I'd let everyone else in on the big secret. I'm not planning on going home to Pennsylvania. I hate the cold weather. It goes right to the bone I swear. If you have lived in Pennsylvania most of your life and then all of a sudden moved to Florida, then you would understand what it's like. My blood isn't as thick as it used to be. My family doesn't seem to understand why I feel like if I leave now then all  I would be doing is giving up. They just don't see it the same way as I do. So let's start with a positive note. I thought I'd try to talk about characters today but I soon realized that I'm not sure if I can truly help anyone or not. So here goes nothing. Topic: How to I create strong characters? How do I create believable, strong characters?  As a writer I have come to the same conclusion many times. Wh

Welcome to a New Segment of my Blog, Drawing on Tuesdays Okay, I know it sounds really cheesy but I couldn't come up with a better name for it. I tried to think of a better name but I just couldn't. So today I'm going to show off some of my more recent art projects. I'm going to tell you what inspired me to draw them and why I like them. I'll also tell you more about my upcoming projects that I plan to do in the future. Art Tinkerbell Sketch By Britt Ludington Medium: Pen Lately, I have had an odd obsession with drawing fairies. So I decided I would try my hand at tracing Tinkerbell. She is one of my all time  favorite Disney Characters. I love Tinkerbell. I really like the first Tinkerbell sketch on the left. I am very proud of that sketch even though I did trace it from my Tinkerbell Calender. Fairy Wings  Drawing By Britt Ludington Medium: Purple Gel Pen, Pen I've been really itching to draw fairies lately. I just love mythical creatures and fant

Welcome to the first ever Nano Young Writer's Program Dare, Dare : We Dare you to write a scene(or a chapter) using text messages between your characters. Luke - Hey Willow, Did you know that we are a lot alike? Will felt the vibration in her back pocket and pulled out her LG Vu. She flipped the phone open and pressed view. The red haired goddess smiled at the message and began to type her own. Will - What the hell are you talking about? How the hell are we anything alike? Luke looked down at his phone impatiently. He hated the wait. The boy didn't understand how two phones could be connected to see or receive ones text messages. He ran his finger over the screen making the phone come to life. The screen smiled at him with nothing but its normal apps floating on the side menu bar. He smiled as he saw the message pop up on the screen. Luke - You can see ghost's can't you? I can! Only one other person knows the truth about me. Please don't tell anyone. W

Hello, Topic:  Bikram Yoga ( Hot Yoga ) What is Bikram Yoga? : Are you looking to sweat? Well then Hot Yoga might be right for you. Hot Yoga takes place in a room that is set to 95-100 degrees. The workout is made up of a series of Yoga Poses that are done in this hot sauna like room. This workout helps make your body more flexible while it warms your body and makes you sweat. Typical Bikram Class : Your Yoga class will consist of a series of movements done in the hot room. The series is made up of 26 poses. You will also do two pranayama exercises in a single ninety minute class. There is not much known about the Hot Yoga or Bikram Yoga Classes as it is fairly new. Is if Right for my Reader? : I personally don't believe there is a right or wrong when it comes down to Yoga. If you think you might enjoy it then give it a try. If you don't think you would enjoy it then maybe another form of Vinyasa Yoga would be better suited for you like Bikram/Hot Yoga. Just rememb

Hey Bloggers, Today I don't really have much to talk about. I thought I would showcase off some of my most recent artistic creations but then I realized that I didn't have any of them saved on my computer in picture form. So that idea really can't work now can it. So I don't really have much to say. I've been going through some really stressful issues and I'm working my way through them like any other person. So don't worry about me fellow bloggers, I promise I'll be alright. This morning I had an awesome idea for my book, The Light Chronicles. I sort of had a dream last night and after the dream I was like "Hey, I should totally put that into my book, just with my characters instead of the real people from my reality." So now, I'm got a good starter for Chapter Seven. Plus, Willow just did something unspeakable, so this little bit should be interesting. I won't ruin the book for anyone since I don't plan on posting it anytime

Welcome to Friday's Short Story, I have been putting together my blog recently, like you know what do I want to talk about. I can't make any promises that the blog topics won't change from time to time but I can at least put more effort into my blog. I wanted to put up a short story of mine that I wrote after I read Gail Carson Levine's book, Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly.  I am a huge fan of Gail Carson Levine. She is such an amazing author and I have fallenl in love with every book she has turned out so far. If you have any interest in reading more about her, then please visit her at her website, http://www.gailcarsonlevine.com/ So back to my short story. Here it is! I hope you all enjoy.     I have one green eye and one brown eye. The green eye sees truth, but the brown eye sees much, much, more. I stared at myself in the mirror. Seeing my disgruntled face that morning was not a pretty site. The mirror showed the opposite me. A bed head version of my

Hope you all enjoy.  I'm rebirthing my life on Inkpop.com!!! Hey Inkpopper's, I've been away for a very long time and I'm sorry I didn't back into Inkpop sooner. Writing for Wednesdays Continued... I figured since I was talking so much about Authors I should give a sample of an email I received from one of my favorite authors, Weezie Kerr Mackey. She is such an amazing author and get this she is just starting out as one. If you have any  interest in learner more about this new author please visit her at www.weeziekerrmackey.co In my opinion this is one of the most amazing emails I have ever received and read.  I am sorry that the emails are in such a weird format. I couldn't make them look any better than they did when I tried to fix them so I left them the way they are. This is one of the emails I sent her: Dear Weezie, > >> Its mean a lot to me that you wrote back. Wow. Your welcome for the >> e-mail. > >> Yes I do love the TLAG book. When you said it was a sports book I was like > >> yea I know that but thats what adds the fun to reading it, cause most >> girls > >> don

Welcome to Writing on Wednesday's, As I said last Sunday that I would be starting Writing on Wednesday's today. First off to start my new blog topic, I would like to apologize to all my readers for not posting anything yesterday. I was so busy doing other things around the house that I totally lost track of time and when I looked at the clock last it was almost two in the morning and I was like there's is no way I'm posting tonight. So let's start off today's topic with a positive note. I feel like life couldn't be anything but stressful right now but I'll try to keep that out of this post. Topic: Do you want to start writing a book? Many of you may ask yourselves, Do I want to write a book? Personally I think anyone has the ability to write a book. But what makes a book good? What makes a author really good at what they do? What really draws the reader in? What's selling on the shelves in all your favorite bookstores? Borders, Barnes &

Hello, So I don't really know what to put up for today's blog topic. I could talk about reading or drawing but I'm not really sure where to start so I'll start off small and progress as time goes on. Right now I am in crisis mood. Basically, I've been struggling for a while with "Where God wants me to be right now?" Is it here in Florida with my friends family or with my real family in Pennsylvania? I'm having a very hard time deciding because I keep thinking of what both sides of the parties will think. What will people here think? What will people there think? Will I be able to get my life back on track? Will I be able to get a job, then my driver's license? Will I be able to get a car and pay for the insurance? Will I be able to do everything I originally had planned? I'm the type of person that kind of thinks of everything before she makes decisions. I really can't help it. I always feel like I have to weight my options before makin

Good Evening, So I decided I wanted to take a new approach to my blog topic today. Come to think of it my blog doesn't really have a topic and it will continue to be that way until I can figure out who this blog will be aimed towards. So congratulations for being my puppets in this vast world of ours. Well okay, that sounds kind of rude I do admit. So for today I wanted to take into account that I have five major passions; reading, writing, drawing, and last but not least fitness/health. I care very much about each one and I thought I could incorporate them into my blog somehow. Like for instance I decided that Wednesday will be my Writing on Wednesdays Day. I'm not sure what I will discuss but I got a few ideas rolling through my head so expect that to start on Wednesday. So for today's post I am covering Fitness/Health. As many of you know I am a Seventeen Magazine reader. I am so dedicated to the mag that I get them in the mail. I have to renew my subscription soon,

Hello My Little Blogging Buddies, Wow. That sounds kind of awkward but why should I care. I don't think any of you would judge me badly as of right now. I'll make some kind of strange pledge with myself. Let's see what could my pledge be for this super crazy blog that just seems to be a reflection on my life and feelings. Oh, I know exactly what I want to pledge. "I pledge to make my blog more about writing and less about my boring self." What do you guys think? Is that a super cool pledge or what? I thought so, so I hope you do too. Do you remember how yesterday I didn't have anything to talk about? Well I actually feel like I have so much to share with you all that I don't know where to start. Today was a very long, annoying, and seemingly productive day. Since I have moved in with my friends family(I've lived with them for the past 7 months and still haven't been able to obtain a job, which is pathetic, I know) I have agreed to do small chor
