T is for Troment

Helló,

So today's Hello of Today is in Hungarian. I love looking up all these different kinds of ways to say hello in foreign languages. To find these language translations, I've been using Google Translate. It's so much fun. I can't wait to do tomorrow's post just so I can find a new way to say hello. I wonder if anyone else finds this as cool as I do. Oh well, Pickers can't be Choosers.

The Word of the Day is brought to you by the letter T. The Word of the Day is Torment, which if you look the definition up on Google, it means, well apparently there's more than one meaning. So I'll list them all. 1. Great Physical Pain or Mental Anguish. 2. A source of harassment, annoyance, pain. 3. The torture inflicted on prisoners under interrogation. Well, now that everyone knows what torment means, I'll move on to tell you my reason for picking this word. If you don't already know, Lauren Kate, the author of Fallen has come out with a new book called Torment. I haven't read this book yet but it's on my Must Read list. This ends today's Word of the Day portion of my blog.

On to the next big matter of business. I finally made a complete online version of my Must Read Book List of 2011 to my to-read list on Goodreads. So go check it out. I have over a one hundred and three books because I found out that a lot of the books I want to read this year are a series. I didn't expect to have so  many different series to read this year. I just figured, hey I'll give this book a shot and see if I like it. I also have a pet-peeve about books that are a part of a series. If I find out the book is a series, then I'm like I have to read all the books in that series. I don't know if any of you are up there with me. I'm probably the only one.

Guess what. I started Chapter Six this morning. I'm not finished with it. But at least I started it. Now the question is if the chapter correlates with the other five chapters that I already have in place. My plan for The Light Chronicles is to finish it or to come close to finishing it this year. Then in 2012, I will go back and revise and edit it. I know it's going to take a while to do so my first goal is to finish it. Since I am still early on in the book, I'm not sure where it will end. My characters are the ones telling the story, not me. Everything that is happening seems to be right where they want it to be and where I want it to be. If you would like to take a look at the other five chapters, you can check them out here at Inkpop or Authonomy. I will however not be posting anymore chapters up on either of these websites.

In other news, I am so excited to be writing again. Its has been a few months since I've written the last  chapter and I'm not back into the full swing yet. So, I have to get back into it. Even though I don't feel one hundred percent totally there yet.

Today, my day consists of writing my book, doing this blog post which is almost complete, and I think there's something else going on but I'm not sure yet.

Well, thanks for taking the time to read my really long post. I know it must have taken you a while so I'm pleased you stuck through it  to the end. Oh, I'll try to make them shorter from now on. Have a great day.

Love Britt

30 is for Trente!

Welcome to Friday's Short Story, I have been putting together my blog recently, like you know what do I want to talk about. I can't make any promises that the blog topics won't change from time to time but I can at least put more effort into my blog. I wanted to put up a short story of mine that I wrote after I read Gail Carson Levine's book, Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly.  I am a huge fan of Gail Carson Levine. She is such an amazing author and I have fallenl in love with every book she has turned out so far. If you have any interest in reading more about her, then please visit her at her website, http://www.gailcarsonlevine.com/ So back to my short story. Here it is! I hope you all enjoy.     I have one green eye and one brown eye. The green eye sees truth, but the brown eye sees much, much, more. I stared at myself in the mirror. Seeing my disgruntled face that morning was not a pretty site. The mirror showed the opposite me. A bed head version of...

Worst Movie Ever...!!!

Hey Readers, So last night, my little sister and I watched a redbox movie that has been laying around the room for days now, waiting to be watched. It was the worst movie I have ever seen. The move was called Snow White and the Huntsman. It was probably the worst movie ever made. It was slow, nothing really interesting happened in the whole entire time we watched it. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for about an hour, when I awoke, the movie was still playing with barely any progress. Kristin Stewart did a terrible job of acting. I don't even care enough to make sure her name is spelled right, I apologize to any of my readers who like her or at least her acting. I don't really envy her all that much because she sucks at acting, literally. The man who played the Huntsman was a little better but not exactly the best either. I'm pretty sure though that he played Thor, which I actually enjoyed very much. But this movie was outdrawn, too long...

Light and Fluffy...!!!

Hey Y'all, So lately I've been getting dizzy and light headed while driving. It kind of sucks. I'm not sure what is causing it either. After I get home sometime the dizziness and light headed feeling doesn't go away. I feel like I am stuck in my home because of it. I don't like. Not one bit.  I'm kind of scared that I am showing signs of getting vertigo like my dad. I really hope not. Also my mom is here visiting from South Carolina. She is driving me insane. I mean I love her because she is my mom. But boy she really knows just how to annoy me.
