C stands for Confidence

Bonjour Mes Amies,

Confident vs. Yourself

Have you ever noticed that a lot of people seem to let their low self a steam get in the way of their dreams? Just think about it, many people get discouraged when someone doesn't like something they created. Have you ever had that happen to you? I have. I like to please people, I hate conflict, and I always strive to do my best. Sometimes my best just isn't good enough. For example, I am a writer and a artist, not professional mind you. Since I am involved in both these hobbies, I always like to know what other people think of my work. The only reason I want to know what they think is because I want their constructive criticism. I want to know if my art is good or bad, if they see it the same way I do. The same goes for my writing. The best advice always comes from other people, because they can most likely pick out small mistakes that you yourself could not pick out as the creator. But don't let that small said back stop you from creating. Creativity is a very important aspect of life. If you don't take the time to harness it now, you may end up loosing it, piece by piece.

My advice is to keep up with your dreams. Do Not and I repeat Do Not let other people tell you what you can and cannot do.Just because you want other people's advice does not mean you have to take it every time. Sometimes the advice won't help you in the slightest. So keep on painting or drawing or whatever it is you do. The only person that should hold your confidence is you. Be confident in who you are and what you do.

Updates: As of Yesterday and Today...!

  • I am working on my Nano Project. I will try my best to finish it.
  • I am working on Chapter Six of The Light Chronicles, I will start it very soon. When I have a good place to start the chapter.
  • I am reading Writing Magic: Creating Stories That Fly By Gail Larson Levine. She is an awesome youth adult author and I advise anyone to check out her book if you want to write. There are a whole bunch of writing exercises that are great for any type of writer.
  • I might have come up with an idea for a short story. But that is not on the top of my list right now.

Love Britt

Worst Movie Ever...!!!

Hey Readers, So last night, my little sister and I watched a redbox movie that has been laying around the room for days now, waiting to be watched. It was the worst movie I have ever seen. The move was called Snow White and the Huntsman. It was probably the worst movie ever made. It was slow, nothing really interesting happened in the whole entire time we watched it. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for about an hour, when I awoke, the movie was still playing with barely any progress. Kristin Stewart did a terrible job of acting. I don't even care enough to make sure her name is spelled right, I apologize to any of my readers who like her or at least her acting. I don't really envy her all that much because she sucks at acting, literally. The man who played the Huntsman was a little better but not exactly the best either. I'm pretty sure though that he played Thor, which I actually enjoyed very much. But this movie was outdrawn, too long...

30 is for Trente!

Welcome to Friday's Short Story, I have been putting together my blog recently, like you know what do I want to talk about. I can't make any promises that the blog topics won't change from time to time but I can at least put more effort into my blog. I wanted to put up a short story of mine that I wrote after I read Gail Carson Levine's book, Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly.  I am a huge fan of Gail Carson Levine. She is such an amazing author and I have fallenl in love with every book she has turned out so far. If you have any interest in reading more about her, then please visit her at her website, http://www.gailcarsonlevine.com/ So back to my short story. Here it is! I hope you all enjoy.     I have one green eye and one brown eye. The green eye sees truth, but the brown eye sees much, much, more. I stared at myself in the mirror. Seeing my disgruntled face that morning was not a pretty site. The mirror showed the opposite me. A bed head version of...
